Common Core Algebra: Ready, Set GO!

Summer curriculum team are hard at work and the Algebra Team, CCSS 4th year and Assessment teams are the PUHSD Math Rock Stars for the month.  A huge thanks to the following teachers for their work on the Common Core Curriculum and Assessments.

A special thanks to Amanda, Dina, Tiffany and Sami for their work on D2 and their EXCELLENT organizational skills.  The Algebra materials are all set for the first 9 weeks and the unit assessment are all ready for the first semester!!!

CCSS Algebra 1-2 and CCSS Algebra 1-2 Honors Curriculum
The curriculum and concept maps can be found on SharePoint, D2SC, and the District Website for parents and students.  If you are on the district server, you can go to the Wiki on SharePoint. 

If you would like to get started reviewing the scope and sequence, you can find all of the materials on D2SC and this can be accessed on the Internet.  Below is a sample of one of the units and you can find it by accessing D2SC and clicking on District Curriculum, Math, Algebra 1-2, and click CCSS Algebra 1-2. 

CCSS Assessments

The assessment team revised over 20 exams and the revised exams will be posted on SharePoint in early July.  They also began the process of creating assessment blueprints to ensure that the assessment are balanced in terms on instructional time on each unit and a variety of items with each DOK.  Below is a sample from Algebra 1-2 and you can find the rest on SharePoint.

The assessment team created the first online CCSS Algebra 1Pre-test and instruction on how to release the exam will be forthcoming.
